Jake Smith CD Release Show

I had the pleasure of shooting Jake Smith's CD release show at the House of Blues, New Orleans, last weekend.

Two facts:
1) I haven't shot a show in almost a year.
2) I've never shot a show with out a flash.

I remember always feeling super annoying with my flash at past shows, and decided to go with out it this time.

Anyway, due to those circumstances, I was really nervous about shooting this.
But it ended up being super FUN!

It was difficult to shoot most of the time, because the lighting was a really harsh red or blue at most points. Some times it let up, but not by much, which explains all of the black and white processing.

Anyway. Jake and his band put on an awesome show! So much energy and soul put into it. His album drops May 25th, so pick it up!
